Choose a useful next step

Start with the weather tool for your actual activity. Motorcycle and bicycle verdicts use different preferences, while both need a complete outward and return forecast. Choose today or tomorrow and the question that matters most. The chooser links directly to the relevant tool; it does not make another weather request or invent a second score.

Before every ride

Check the location, timezone and complete journey hours. Read the worst periods alongside the best window. Inspect equipment and actual road conditions and check official warnings for the destination, not just the starting point. A GO is planning guidance and cannot assess your bike or ability.

If thunder is heard, NWS recommends reaching a substantial building or suitable enclosed hard-roof vehicle and waiting at least 30 minutes after the last thunder before returning outdoors. A forecast weather code is not a live lightning detector. Missing weather inputs always mean insufficient data.
